How to Measure Reclaimed Roof Tiles
This measuring guide supports our reclaimed roof tile matching service . If you need help locating and matching reclaimed roof tiles for a repair, follow the steps below and submit your photos and measurements when ready.

πΈ Step 1 β Photos
Take clear photos of the front, back, and a side/profile showing the tileβs shape.


π Step 2 β Length & Width
Measure the overall length and overall width with a tape measure placed flat on the tile.

π Step 3 β Thickness & Profile
If possible, note the thickness at the edge and capture a side profile photo to show any curve, nibs, or interlocks.

π― Step 4 β Exposure (Optional)
If known, include your roofβs exposure/cover (the visible height per course). Not required, but helpful for perfect matches.

π¦ Step 5 β Quantity & Shipping
Approximate quantity needed and your City, State, ZIP help us quote availability and freight.

π§± Step 6 β Fittings (If Applicable)
If you need ridges, hips, eaves, end caps, or specials, include photos and rough counts.

Measuring Tiles for Fireplace Use
Reclaimed clay roof tiles make stunning firebacks and fireplace accents. Before choosing your tiles, measure your fireplace opening carefully so we can help select pieces that fit perfectly and safely.

- π Width: Measure the full inside width of the fireplace opening.
- π Height: Measure from the hearth floor to the top of the firebox opening.
- π¦ Depth: Measure the firebox floor from the front edge to the back wall.
- π₯ Optional: Include a photo of your fireplace front-on and one angled view for context.
